Tax Senior

We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Senior to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance and planning, with a focus on delivering high-quality tax services. As a Tax Senior, you will play a critical role in managing client engagements, providing tax consulting services, and ensuring compliance with various tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance and Preparation:

    • Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax filings, adhering to applicable tax laws and regulations.
    • Identify and address potential tax issues and opportunities for tax savings.


Client Management and Advisory:

    • Serve as a primary contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and providing exceptional service.
    • Advise clients on various tax matters, including tax planning, compliance, and strategy.
    • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to provide relevant and timely advice.


Research and Analysis:

    • Conduct thorough tax research on complex issues and provide well-founded solutions.
    • Analyze financial records and reports to identify tax implications and opportunities.
    • Prepare written reports and memos to communicate research findings and recommendations.


Team Collaboration and Development:

    • Collaborate with other team members on tax projects, sharing knowledge and guidance.
    • Mentor and guide junior staff, contributing to their professional development.
    • Participate in internal training and development initiatives to enhance tax knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in public accounting, focusing on tax compliance and advisory services.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Tax Manager to oversee our organization’s tax policies and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of tax regulations and demonstrate knowledge in tax planning and compliance for both individual and corporate clients. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of tax professionals in delivering efficient and effective tax services, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations, and contributing strategic insights to optimize tax functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance and Reporting:

    • Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
    • Ensure all tax filings are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicating the implications to management and adjusting strategies accordingly.


Tax Planning and Strategy:

    • Develop and implement strategic tax plans to minimize tax liabilities and maximize compliance.
    • Provide customized advice on tax implications of business decisions, mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate strategies.


Leadership and Team Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
    • Coordinate and oversee the training and professional development of the tax team.
    • Manage the allocation of resources and workload distribution within the team.


Client Engagement and Advisory Services:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored tax solutions.
    • Deliver high-quality client service, ensuring accuracy and responsiveness in all engagements.
    • Conduct and oversee tax research, analysis, and interpretation of tax laws for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master’s in Taxation strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in tax roles, with a proven track record in tax planning and compliance.
  • Extensive knowledge of tax codes, regulations, and case law.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of tax professionals.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex tax concepts to clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
